What is Kinesiology Taping?
Kinesiology tape can be used to help aid you in your mobility and recovery needs. We opt to apply Kinesio tape at the end of treatments if needed as part of your session at no extra cost, however you can just pop in for an application if you wish. We opt to use RockTape and have seen great results in the support of function when using it.
This type of tape is a stretchy, adhesive tape that helps to tune down pain, decompress swelling and inflammation and distributes physical stress through its ability to allow you to move. We are happy for you to bring your own roll of tape in and apply this for you in those hard-to-reach areas at no cost.
Who is it for?
Kinesiology tape is used to treat athletic injuries, as such it’s often used to support weak or injured joints.
It has become increasingly popular in sport, with athletes (both professional and amateur) using the tape to support their ankles, knees and shoulders when overcoming recent injuries amongst other applications.
With the correct application athletes can expect to see an increased level of performance, a reduction in the likelihood of further injuring the problem area, and ultimately return to completing quicker and healthier.
